Göbekli Tepe Visit is independent, unofficial visitor information. Opening hours, ticket prices and status for Göbekli Tepe, Karahan Tepe and the Şanlıurfa museums are scattered and sometimes contradictory; we put them in one place. (“Taş Tepeler” means “Stone Hills”.)

How we check

Every fact on this board sits on a three-rung ladder. We climb as high as we can, and tell you which rung we’re standing on.
- A source and a last-checked date on every fact.
- Where the rungs disagree, we show all of them and say “check before you go”.
- If we can’t source it, we leave it out.
- Read the raw file. Every fact lives in data.json.

The art
Original, and stylised.
The pillar on the home page is an original illustration. It is stylised after the carved T-pillars UNESCO describes: stone that stands up to 5.5 m tall, with reliefs of belts, loincloths and wild animals. It is not a record of any one pillar, and it is not to scale.
